Detroit Lions reveal their biggest 2014 NFL draft need

We're getting closer and closer to the NFL draft, and it seems that it also falls in line with the early coming of silly season as well.

And the latest team to have contracted stupid-itis is the Detroit Lions.

The Lions have been taking a serious look at trading up for Sammy Watkins, possibly going for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and a whole lot else in between.

But their biggest need? No it's not at safety or corner. Nope, what the Detroit Lions really need, according to coach John Bonamego, is a new kicker.

"The number one thing we need to do is find a kicker," Bonamego told "From a scouting standpoint, it’s our top priority in my department."

"We have two guys on the roster right now that both have some experience. We’ll evaluate those guys in this upcoming period and we’ll compare them to the guys that are coming up in the draft, the draft-eligible guys, and we’ll find one.”

Well that's that settled then. Scrap all that moving up for Watkins rubbish and get ready for this announcement, "With the 10th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Detroit Lions pick 'Who's This' out of 'Is that even a college!?'.

Because after all as Rich Eisen let us all know "Punters (Kickers) are people too!"

Alright well maybe they won't use their first round pick on a replacement for Jason Hanson, Bonamego is a special teams coach so i guess it is probably the biggest part of his job.
