Great news if you're a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Not only do you have one of the best teams in the AFC, and the best young quarterback in the whole of the NFL, now you have something else to celebrate.

According to a report from Stadium Journey magazine, the Colts' Lucas Oil Stadium is the best stadium in the league.

“Lucas Oil Stadium is a fantastic venue, with the emphasis on the fans,” according to Stadium Journey. “This is one of the best sports stadium experiences in the country and should be on an NFL fans’ bucket list, especially as the team is well on its way to becoming an attraction in itself.”

Not so great news for fans of the San Francisco 49ers, San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins however.

Their stadiums made up the three worst venues to take in a football game last season.

Fortunately for the Niners faithful they don't have to put up with the sub-par Candlestick Park anymore. Jim Harbaugh's men will be taking to the field at the brand spanking new Levi's Stadium.

It's not so great for supporters of the Chargers and Redskins however as QualComm Stadium and FedEx Field are here to stay for some time to come.

It's got to be bad for Washington fans considering their stadium was only opened in 1997 and some fans would prefer to see them move into RFK Stadium, home of Major League Soccer side DC United.

And don't get me started on the 'Dream Seats'. The field has also been criticised multiple times, even by Redskins players. But it was Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens who summed it up best by simply stating "Man, that field sucks! It really does."
