David de Gea says Manchester United are determined to ensure that they will be competing in Europe next season.

The Premier League champions have been unable to defend their top-flight crown this term, and have slipped off the pace in the race for Champions League qualification, but bringing continental football back to Old Trafford remains a top priority.

Arsene Wenger has hailed the importance of Arsenal's victory over West Ham as his side came from behind to win 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Just three days after seeing off Wigan on penalties to reach the FA Cup final, the Gunners boss was pleased with the character of his side having fallen behind.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists he has no regrets about starting Vincent Kompany at Liverpool on Sunday, claiming the captain was fit enough to feature in the 3-2 defeat at Anfield.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has questioned whether Liverpool can handle the pressure of leading the title race, and is looking forward to travelling to Anfield with the Blues later this month.
