Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will give as many as four of his youngsters a chance to impress in pre-season.

According to the Standard, the likes of Christian Atsu, Bertrand Traore, Kenneth Omeruo and Nathaniel Chalobah will all be handed an opportunity under Jose Mourinho before start of next season.

If reports are to be believed, the 'Special One' wants to see how far the quartet have progressed in recent time.

Atsu and Traore, who are both currently out on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, have impressed in the Dutch league this season, whilst Omeruo and Chalobah have had fine seasons on loan at Championship outfit Middlesbrough.

It remains to be seen as to whether the quartet can challenge Mourinho's first team regulars for a place in his side, but Blues fans will be hoping some of their young talents can breakthrough in the near future.

For now though, the Chelsea boss will be hoping to continue his side's push for the title. The Blues host Premier League strugglers Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and will be desperate to secure all three points against Gus Poyet's side.
