WWE legend Ultimate Warrior passed away last week in dramatic circumstances due to a heart attack caused by cardiovascular disease.
For the first time since his death, his wife Dan A. Warrior has spoken out about the devastation his swift passing has caused her family.
Whilst she says this current time is extremely difficult for her and her family, she does explain in an emotional letter her gratefulness for the tributes the WWE made on Monday Night Raw two days ago.
The letter is aimed at fans of the Ultimate Warrior and was published by TMZ Sports.
Part of it reads, "It is with an absolutely broken heart I reach out to you," she said.
"As the scene unfolded [on Monday Night Raw] with that amazing roster of talent gathered donning Ultimate Warrior shirts and even his face paint, we cheered and sobbed simultaneously," Dana wrote.
"To everyone who stood there, thank you. My girls will remember your bowed heads for the rest of their lives."
Ultimate Warrior was a wrestler that many fans associated with their first moments of watching wrestling back when it was called the WWF.
As a result of this, Ultimate Warrior's sudden death has courted a great deal of publicity from fans and the media.
This could have caused quite a strain on the family, but Dana wrote about the fact that her family have thankfully managed to escape from everything for a week to simply grieve.
"Since the passing of my husband, I have been fortunate enough to insulate my sweet girls and myself from the outside world. In this bubble we have grieved and continue to do so," she added.
