Johnny Manziel was never going to be short of admirers ahead of this year’s draft, but it would appear that he’s particularly wanted in Jacksonville.
According to sources in the U.S, namely TMZ, the Jacksonville Jaguars tight-end Marcedes Lewis has revealed that he is hoping Manziel ends up playing for his team, even going as far to describe the budding quarter-back as “dope.” The 21-year-old, who has attracted copious amounts of attention from the NFL with his performances for Texas A&M University, could end up at a host of the League’s biggest franchises, but Lewis knows exactly where he wants him to be playing ball next year.
Speaking to TMZ Lewis said: “I like him. I think he's dope.
"I think he's confident, somebody that's gonna bring some excitement to the locker room."
With the Jags having the #3 draft pick this year, and being in need for a new quarter-back, there’s every chance Lewis could get his wish. However both the Houston Texans and the St. Louis Rams will get the chance to take ‘Johnny Football’ on first, and so the Jags will only be in with a shout if they both pass up the opportunity.
