Luke Shaw could reportedly agree a transfer to Chelsea, Manchester City or Manchester United prior the World Cup, with the Southampton teenager set to decide on his future before, as is likely, he flies to Brazil with England.
Shaw has established himself as one of the most coveted players in Europe and, along with the Premier League’s elite, is also wanted by Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. The Guardian reports that, with these prominent suitors, Shaw’s future will become clear prior by the second week of June.
It is claimed the 18-year-old would consider a transfer abroad, although would favour remaining in the Premier League. Chelsea have been the favourites to sign him for some time, although reports in recent days place Manchester United as the frontrunners.
David Moyes wants to recruit a left-back to replace Patrice Evra and, having missed out on Leighton Baines, is set to focus his attention on the acquisition of Shaw. The Manchester United manager is reported to be confident of securing the signature of Shaw for around £30 million.
Chelsea, however, will be optimistic of clinching a deal ahead of Manchester United given that Shaw is a fan of the Blues, something he has previously expressed on Twitter.
