The Black Mamba will be back on the court next week.
Well...the practice court, anyway.
Kobe Bryant, who has been out since November, and missed the final 76 games of the season has been cleared for basketball activity, and will begin an intense six-month rehab program next week.
Bryant was in Europe, vacationing in France and visiting his doctor in Germany, ahead of the all clear, and he should be shooting for the first time since last year during the first round of the NBA playoffs.
Without Bryant this season, the Lakers set a franchise record for losses in a season, and missed the playoffs for just the third time since 1977, something Bryant was not at all happy with, but he is ready to look to the future.
It's Kobe's second straight summer in intense rehab. Last year the 36-year-old tore his Achilles tendon in the playoffs, and spent the summer on the shelf.
