Manchester United and Chelsea have been told they will have to stump up £33million if they are to land Napoli's Marek Hamsik.
The Premier League duo are reportedly keen to entice the Slovakian international away from the Serie A outfit as they are both said to be keen admirers of the 26-year-old attacking midfielder.
Reports had suggested that Napoli were not prepared to sell Hamsik after losing star duo Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi in the last couple of years - however the Daily Express believe circumstances have now changed.
AC Milan had thought to be interested in bringing Hamsik to the San Siro until former manager Massimiliano Allegri was replaced by Clarence Seedorf.
The Italian giants' withdrawal from the race to sign Hamsik will allow Manchester United and Chelsea to battle it out to land the former Brescia man.
Manchester United and Chelsea could be set for several transfer tussles during the summer as they are both said to be interested in Luke Shaw, Edinson Cavani and William Carvalho.
Hamsik has scored six goals in 24 league games for Rafael Benitez's side so far this season.
