It's a great time to be a fan of the current WWE product, Daniel Bryan is WWE World Heavyweight Champion, we're lucky enough to have witnessed the streak end at WrestleMania XXX as we enter a new era and Triple H has brought back the sense of unpredictability.
But there's another reason why it's great to be a fan right now is because of the level of talent the company has coming through it's ranks. These younger superstars are starting to take over the company at the right time, just as the old guard ease to the back to allow the new superstars and divas to shine.
Over the last six months or so only a handful of names were mentioned to take the WWE by storm. Roman Reigns has been touted by many to carry the company forward, whilst bright futures are also expected for his stable-mates Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Along with these the likes of The Wyatt Family, Paige, Mojo Rawley and Sami Zayn have all been highlighted as future stars.
But the man many overlooked until WrestleMania XXX is set to have one of the biggest years in the WWE, something not usually expected from a breakout star. Although he has been here for a while, Cesaro is now firmly on his way to the top of the WWE.
From his Swiss Militia gimmick to his yodelling; Cesaro really broke through and opened the eyes of many fans when he aligned himself with Jack Swagger and legendary manager Zeb Colter as part of The Real Americans. Not a lot was expected of the team but both men ensured that The Real Americans became one of the greatest teams in recent years.
That catapulted Cesaro on to the platform he is at now, with Paul Heyman by his side and the wrestling world at his feet, The King of Swing is set for one hell of a year.
Right now he is a semi-finalist in the Intercontinental Championship tournament and in the redrafted plans he was scheduled to win a fatal 4 way match to be declared the #1 contender.
However, those plans were scuppered but Cesaro is still in with a chance of facing Big E at Extreme Rules for the Intercontinental Championship. A title which will do him the world of good.
He is set for big things, but Cesaro and Heyman will bring back prestige to the championship and as a fighting champion, and Cesaro will continue to look strong, something which he needs at this stage of his career.
He is already a frontrunner for the Money in the Bank ladder match that takes place in a few months. By then he will have established his fan base even further, and alongside Paul Heyman, he will be transformed into a genuine main event superstar who is a threat to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, whoever it may be at that time.
He could have a year to cash it in, which is plenty of time for Cesaro to become the man in the company. At the moment WWE are handing out signs to the crowd reading 'Cesaro Section'; even though he is supposed to be a heel.
The plan for Cesaro is that they want to create the idea that we as fans will want Cesaro to turn, even though we already support him, but want him to stay with Paul Heyman which is also a great move, but Cesaro won't actually become an official babyface.
This then leads perfectly on to one of the biggest matches in Cesaro's career, a potential bout against the conqueror of the streak, Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam or even better, at WrestleMania 31.
This will be beneficial for Cesaro's progression and development as a WWE superstar as he would go toe-to-toe with the best incarnate, the man that defeated The Undertaker.
This obviously will be another Paul Heyman/CM Punk situation we saw last year where Heyman turned on Punk and we saw a clash with Lesnar in an epic encounter.
Regardless of what the plans are, the WWE just cannot afford to drop the ball with Cesaro. He has all the skills, tools, credentials, anything you can think of. Topped off with the greatest manager that has ever worked for the company.
They can't force him down throats either. Much like Sheamus and John Cena, the fans won't be too pleased about it and they aren't afraid to show it. He needs to develop organically.
WWE fans, do you think Cesaro will have a blockbuster year? Can he become WWE World Heavyweight Champion? Let me know in the comments section below or come discuss all things WWE with me on Twitter @RazK28.
