7: Stevan Jovetic | Fiorentina to Manchester City
Having enjoyed an impressive season in the Serie A with Fiorentina last year Stevan Jovetic must have arrived in England confident that he would be given the chance to prove his mettle in the Premier League.
It will have been some surprise to him then when Manuel Pellegrini put him behind the likes of Sergio Aguero, fellow new boy Alvaro Negredo and even Edin Dzeko in the pecking order. The Montenegrin forward hasn't been gifted many opportunities at the Etihad since his arrival, and when he has the performances he's produced haven't created fireworks.
Dzeko may well move on this summer, which could give Jovetic some breathing room when it comes to competing for places. However there's every chance he'll be ruing his decision to join the Citizens at the moment seen as though he's virtually wasted a year of his career on the sidelines.
There's always the monumental wage packet, I suppose.
