1: Neymar | Santos to Barcelona
With his worldwide reputation and unique levels of ability at such a young age, Neymar was always going to make a move to Europe before too long. However it's the decision to move to Barcelona over other footballing giants that may begin to haunt him moving forward.
First and foremost there's the well-publicised issues regarding the fee paid for him by his new club, which has landed them in hot-water with the powers that be. Then there's now the fact that they've been banned from adding to their squad for the next two transfer windows, coupled with what seems like a steady fall from grace.
Put plainly Barcelona are no longer the force they were, and the direction they seem to be heading in is a far-cry from the days when Pep Guardiola was running things at the club. Still with virtually his entire career ahead of him Neymar won't be too distressed, but there is the nagging complaint that he may have become the last flagship signing of a club doomed to slip down the rankings.
To think Real Madrid were desperate to have him doesn't help.
