4. Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney has been impressive this season, scoring 15 goals in 28 appearances.
This goal return is despite being part of a poor Manchester United side that has gone from winning the Premier League last season, to sitting outside of the top four in seventh place.
Given that Rooney is often liable to perform badly when affected psychologically, it is a positive sign that he has managed to maintain his brilliant standard throughout the current campaign.
As well as his 15 goals, the former Everton player has also managed 10 assists, once again proving his value to David Moyes’ United side.
