The agent of Robin van Persie looks set to play a key role in bringing Louis van Gaal to Manchester United, according to the Standard.
Dutch agent Kees Vos is the leading figure behind Van Gaal's attempt to take over at an English club ahead of next season.
Recent reports have suggested that the manager - who is currently the boss of Holland - is wanted by Tottenham, as a replacement for Tim Sherwood.
However, it now appears that the Manchester United hierarchy are ready to make a move for the Dutch coach, after the club sacked David Moyes earlier today.
It remains to be seen as to whether Van Gaal will end up at either of Manchester United or Tottenham this summer, but Vos will certainly be hoping to bring him to the Premier League.
For now though, Manchester United will be looking to end the season on a high, with Ryan Giggs in charge until the end of the season.
The Red Devils take on Norwich City on Saturday evening and will be desperate to secure all three points after a 2-0 defeat against Everton this past weekend.
