Manuel Pellegrini - Real Madrid

Unquestionably the most controversial choice, Pellegrini led Real Madrid to their highest-ever points tally during his one season at the Bernabeu but that still wasn't enough to avoid the dreaded sack.

Ultimately, despite that aforementioned statistic, the composed and experienced Chilean fell short of the requirements set by Real after losing out to fierce rivals Barcelona - then led by a certain Pep Guardiola - in the La Liga title race and suffering an unacceptable round of 16 Champions League exit at the hands of Lyon.

Later proving his credentials with a spell at Malaga, Pellegrini can currently be found attempting to steer Manchester City towards the top of the Premier League.
