Kane's brutal attack on Daniel Bryan sent shockwaves throughout the WWE Universe on Raw last night.

The Big Red Machine tomb-stoned the World Heavyweight Champion three times, with the final manoeuvre taking place on the announce table.

And now it appears that Bryan will be out of action for a number of weeks, but should be back for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

Bryan was taken to a local hospital after last night's show, but reports from wrestlinginc.com have suggested that he's suffered no serious injuries.

Kane and Bryan are set to go head-to-head at the pay-per-view event, which will take place on May 4 at New Jersey.

Wrestling fans will be hoping Bryan recovers in time for the event, as he looks to take his revenge on Kane.

The superstar will be hoping to defend his title for the first time after he won the belt at WrestleMania XXX a couple of weeks ago.
