Though it's become custom amongst the majority of the world's media to select the transfer targets that Manchester United stand no hope of landing this summer, it's easy to forget that a number of sides have big names on their radar.

Naturally United have stolen the show with regards to transfer gossip, and this morning's sacking of David Moyes has done little to quell the buzz around Old Trafford with the looming transfer window in mind. In fact the speculation is only going to rise from here on in, and so it's a good time to assess the chances teams have of landing those they would seek to make prized possessions out of.

Here we list eight players/ managers who are likely to give the big thumbs down to their respective suitors come the end of this season, including some of the biggest names in world football.
