Naturally we start with the latest in Manchester United’s hunt for a new manager, following the dismissal of David Moyes yesterday morning.
Floods of reports have produced a number of different potential replacements, but the main three men said to be in the picture for the job are Jurgen Klopp, Carlo Ancelotti and Louis van Gaal. Moyes was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford less than a year after taking charge, and is said to be furious with the way the affair was handled.
In lighter news Arsene Wenger will have to decide whether or not he sees Olivier Giroud as the man he wants to lead his line moving forward. The French striker has verbally committed his future to the Emirates, and rubbished talk of a summer move away despite an indifferent season. He also said he wants to continue working under Wenger, which leaves the Arsenal boss with a tough decision to make.
And finally all eyes turn to the Santiago Bernabeu tonight as Real Madrid take on Bayern Munich in one of the most anticipated semi-finals the Champions League has ever witnessed. Carlo Ancelotti told reporters earlier on today that star man Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to make his return, despite having been absent recently through injury. His inclusion will give Madrid a much-needed boost, but it remains to be seen whether it will be enough to topple Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Bayern.
