Welbeck & Cleverley are wanted at Goodison Park.

Manchester United could lose England duo to Premier League rivals

Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck is attracting interest from Everton, according to the Daily Express.

Roberto Martinez is reportedly weighing up a move for the England international in hope that the 23-year-old can fill the shoes left by the outgoing Romelu Lukaku at the end of the season.

The Spaniard will have to replace the goals scored by Lukaku in the summer as the Belgian powerhouse looks set to return to Chelsea.

Martinez has a good chance of enticing Welbeck to Goodison Park as the Manchester United star has grown disillusioned with life at Old Trafford.

Reports suggested last week that Welbeck had informed David Moyes he wanted to leave Manchester United because of the lack of game-time he was receiving at Old Trafford.

However his decision to quit his boyhood team may have diminished due to Moyes' recent exit from the club.

News of Martinez's interest in Welbeck comes just a day after the Merseyside outfit were linked with a move for Manchester United's £8m-rated Tom Cleverley.
