Former Manchester United winger Andrei Kanchelskis has told BBC Sport that several of the high profile names at the club aren't good enough to feature in the side.
The Russian picked on two defenders in particularly who he believed were under performing.
"Not all the players are ready to play for Manchester United, especially in defence and midfield," he stated to BBC Sport.
He also disagreed with the decision to sack Moyes.
"If they gave him that chance then, with time, I think he would have done all right. I didn't think that they would sack him."
Kanchelskis, who also played for Everton and Manchester City, is just one of many who are judging the summer transfer window as the opportunity for a fresh start. But at the same time, it is imperative that the club make the right signings or else the club could be wasting millions more on another poor campaign.
The club are chasing Southampton left back, Luke Shaw and are reportedly close to bringing in the talented Englishman for £30 million. Eliaquim Mangala is another player that Moyes had pinned at the top of his wanted list after flying out last week to watch him play in Porto's Portugal Cup semi-final. He could be the answer to the club's central defensive issues with Nemanja Vidic poised to move to Inter in the summer.
