Cesc Fabregas’s Barcelona dream hasn’t panned out in the dream manner he probably expected it to when he left Arsenal for his boyhood club back in 2011.
Although he has managed to win several trophies during his three-year stay with the Catalan giants, he missed out on the best years of the Pep Guardiola era, and only worked under the legendary Barca boss for a season before he left the Camp Nou in order to take a sabbatical.
It hasn’t been quite the same under Tito Vilanova and Tata Martino, while the club’s supporters haven’t really taken to Fabregas either, which is a huge surprise considering he’s a local lad with Barcelona coursing through his veins.
It’s been reported that Fabregas could leave Barcelona this summer - but where might the Spain international, who is undoubtedly one of the world’s best midfielders, end up?
Taking the odds from leading bookmaker Paddy Power, we’ve selected eight of the leading potential destinations.
