Chelsea have often been derided by some supporters for not allowing much of their youth talent to make a sufficient impact in the first-team setup, but Lewis Baker is a name that Blues fans could and should be hearing from on a frequent basis for years to come.
A valued member of the club's youth sides who made his senior bow as a substitute during the FA Cup tie against Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County earlier this season, midfielder Baker scored what must go down as one of the best goals of the year at any level earlier this week.
In an U21 clash between Chelsea and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium that ended 2-1 to the visitors, Baker brought memories of a certain Gianfranco Zola flooding back with a quite sensational back-heeled half volley.
Even Arsene Wenger - always a pioneer and supporter of skilful football - would have admired this one, we think.
Don't take our word for this, though, watch footage of Baker - who has reportedly been touted as the next Frank Lampard - endearing himself to the Chelsea faithful with a true wonder goal above.
