Mattia Destro heads Inter's shortlist as they prepare to strengthen their front line in the summer.
The Roma striker, who has scored 13 goals this season surrounding his injury has had a successful season nonetheless with 'the Giallorossi' who are joint top of Serie A with Juventus.
Inter on the other hand have been struggling this year and look set to miss out on the European places.
Erik Thohir, President of Inter Milan, is looking to reverse the club's fortunes of late by making big name signings whilst removing the dead wood from the squad.
According to Football Italia, Inter have identified the 23-year-old, Destro, as one of their targets this summer despite the fact they initially sold him to Genoa in 2010.
It will be hard to convince the Italian to make the switch back to Milan especially with Roma playing in Europe next year and his contract running up until 2017.
However, the club have also expressed their interest in Manchester City's, Edin Dzeko, whose contract runs out in June as well as Chelsea forward, Fernando Torres.
Dzeko has yet to cement a place in City's starting 11 and could be tempted by a move to the San Siro where the club is hoping to revive it's title ambitions. On top of this, Torres could be out of the frame next year for the Blues if they acquire their target, Diego Costa, so both deals are possible.
