West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has come under pressure himself this season for his side's style of play.

He has yielded results for his team though, and they sit in 12th position with 37 points. Allardyce, for his part, condemned the nature of Moyes' sacking.

"It's a great shame for Manchester United as a brand and of course David Moyes, knowing his fate before he was even told. That is how it looks from the outside and if it is the case it is a great shame, " said the 59-year-old.

Reports leaked on Monday afternoon from United and it seems that Moyes believed these to be fake before learning of his fate on Tuesday morning. United made only a very short and abrupt statement on the matter with Moyes allegedly livid with the club whilst his multi-million pound severance package is concluded.
