Manchester United temporary manager Ryan Giggs has revealed that Robin van Persie and Rafael da Silva will miss his side's clash with Norwich City tomorrow evening, reports the club's official site.
The Red Devils enter a new era under the Welshman at Old Trafford against the Canaries, but will have to make do without two of their key stars.
Van Persie has been on the sidelines since scoring a hat-trick in the Red Devils' 3-0 Champions League quarter-final win against Olympiacos last month.
Rafael, meanwhile, has been in-and-out of the Manchester United team this term because of injuries and is also unavailable for the clash.
However, Giggs has confirmed that the rest of his squad are in contention for the clash, as he told reporters in his pre-match press conference: “20-odd players are in with a chance.”
It remains to be seen as to how many changes the Welshman opts for after David Moyes' reign ended in a 2-0 defeat at Goodison Park last weekend.
Manchester United fans will be desperate to return to winning ways against the Premier League strugglers.
