WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Jake 'The Snake' Roberts is on the verge of becoming cancer free after a short battle with the disease.

In February, Roberts discovered he had a tumour behind his knee and he immediately started trying to recover by going through a removal process.

It's now understood that the process was a success and his cancer is now not life threatening.

This is according to his best friend, and fellow former wrestling superstar, Diamond Dallas Page.

The former star caught up with TMZ Sports this week, and explained his delight at the news of his friend's potential full recovery.

"Right now they got the reports back and they're quite happy. The cancer they got most of it all out," he told TMZ.

"They think that they might have to go in and get a little bit more out of his leg. But it's not threatening anymore or life-threatening.

"That's where we are at. He was scared and so were we."

Page is also well known for his associations with yoga. When he was recovering from an injury in 1998, he wrote about how the exercise aids recovery.

Since that time he has appeared in videos aplenty with Shark Tank, and he couldn't let TMZ go without giving his DDP yoga a plug.

"Shark Tank, it's amazing. We've done over seven figures since Shark Tank. It's like unbelievable, it's just gone that fast."
