With Tim Sherwood antagonising Tottenham fans with every passing minute he remains in charge, lets be positive Spurs fans, and look at the options available to Daniel Levy next summer...

1. Michael Laudrup

In his first season in charge of Swansea, he did an excellent job guiding them to League Cup glory, and a solid position in the Premier League.  He managed to bring in players like Michu, who excelled in his first season in England.

Laudrup's second season he hit the buffers, but Michu was/has been injured for large parts of it.  Also key to this appointment for Levy, is that Laudrup is out of work and won't cost a bean.

2. Mauricio Pochettino

Doing a fantastic job at Southampton, but he has inherited a side who have outstanding young English talents, Lallana/Rodriguez/Shaw.  He has encouraged the Saints to play a high tempo pressing game, which has seen them gain plaudits.

However is that down to the manager or the quality of the players available, I have my doubts.

3. Fabio Capello

Let's not forget that Capello's best mate in football, Franco Baldini is currently the Director of Football at Spurs. Does Baldini have any power or authority in this role, if he does then surely he will put forward the wily experienced Italian manager.

Would Capello be keen, I think he would, he has a point to prove to English football fans. However it would cost a fortune to pay the Russian FA the rest of his contract, therefore.

4. Luciano Spalletti

Could the man who AVB replaced at Zenit, rock up at Spurs. There is no doubting Spaletti's credentials, an excellent manager in Italy, which culminated in a fine spell at Roma. He moved to Zenit in which he was allowed to splash the cash, and could bring in players such as Hulk and Axel Witsel.

He has no experience of the Premier League, and Levy has already had his hands burnt with Juande Ramos in this regard, therefore.

5. David Moyes

Surely not, well maybe it's not so outlandish. There is a case that Moyes was the wrong man at the wrong club. There is no denying he had Everton contending for top six position each season, which Spurs are realistically aiming for, with the players at their disposal currently.

Moyes has been considered by Spurs before, when previous managers have been sacked. Also he would not cost anything to employ.

Who do you think will take the poison chalice of the Spurs job, personally my money is on Michael Laudrup.
