The Premier League season is coming to its end and soon afterwards, the World Cup awaits. Although Algeria are considered to be outsiders at Brazil, one new star could make a name for himself in the team.
Nabil Bentaleb was previously a player of France U19s, but when he received a call-up from Vahid Halilhodzic, there wasn't really a doubt which side he will join.
Numerous performances at White Hart Lane were a key part of his successful national team place insuring.
Following Andre Villas-Boas' departure, Tim Sherwood took over and the Algerian should be mostly grateful for that move. Sherwood was the one who preserved a spot for the youngster in the first-team, as he made a debut in December 2013 in a Premier League match against Southampton.
He took part in 18 games for the club until now, mostly coming in from the bench. In a clash versus another London team, Crystal Palace, Bentaleb was named the man of the match.
Already once capped 19-year-old is heading for a place in the starting XI at the club and could deserve it if he'll perform convincingly in Brazil this summer.
Nevertheless, if he doesn't succeed in that tournament in June, he shouldn't worry about his role in Tottenham. He will still remain one of the best young players and the future of the club.
