Liverpool are leading Arsenal and Juventus in the race to sign highly-rated Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
According to the Sunday Express, the 22-year-old's agent has already held talks with the Merseyside club's officials and is weighing up the prospect of moving to the Premier League this summer.
Lacazette has netted 20 goals in all competitions for Lyon this season, and is currently the fourth top scorer in France.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be a huge admirer of the talented youngster, and is ready to strengthen his forward line - that already boasts prolific pairing Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge - with the addition of the France international at Anfield.
Arsene Wenger has also been monitoring Lacazette's development in Ligue 1 closely, as he too considers a striker signing to provide competition for Olivier Giroud at the Emirates Stadium.
However, both Arsenal and Liverpool's hopes of securing the player's signature are slim due to the fact Lacazette is under contract with Lyon until 2016, and president Jean-Michel Aulas is reluctant to lose him.
