With the disastrous 10-month reign of David Moyes having been brought to an unhappy conclusion over the Easter period, rumours as to who will become the next permanent manager of Manchester United have been rife for almost a week now.
While many of Europe's top names have been linked with the vacant role at Old Trafford, there is one man that keeps being mentioned with regard to the job - Louis van Gaal.
The 62-year-old Dutchman - who is due to leave his current post as manager of the Netherlands following the World Cup - would appear to be the perfect choice and indeed reports over the weekend have gone as far as to claim that Van Gaal has already agreed to move to Manchester United in time for the 2014/15 campaign.
The club themselves subsequently issued a swift statement denying that they had appointed a new manager, but such a line looks to have done little to dissuade certain media outlets and supporters that Van Gaal is destined to succeed Moyes.
As such reports suggesting that Van Gaal is bound for the Premier League have gathered pace, so too has speculation as to just which players he could be targeting to bring to Manchester United to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Here, we have a look at those reported targets and invite you to comment on just which you think could be persuaded to move to Old Trafford and which you feel are not likely to leave their current clubs anytime soon.
Please note, while Manchester United have been linked with a plethora of players of late, we are just attempting to look at those who have been mentioned as targets of Van Gaal's.
