Miralem Pjanić - Roma's pivotal playmaker

Published Add your comment

AS Roma's sensational 2013/14 season can be pinned down to the appointment of Rudi Garcia, who, already proven at Ligue 1 side Lille seems to have squeezed every ounce of quality out of a squad mixed with experience and youth, leading to a return to the Champions League for the Giallorossi.

The back four earn the plaudits, and rightly so with a superb defensive record conceding just 19 goals in 35 games (as of 25/04/14).

Arsenal 'flop' Gervinho is one of those who looks a new beast playing with confidence, along with talismans Francesco Totti and Daniele de Rossi putting in their usual levels of effort.

However goals win games, and one man in the Roma squad has taken pundits aback throughout the season. Bosnian playmaker Miralem Pjanić has contributed to six Serie A goals so far this season, and more often or not they are more than just 'easy on the eye'.

Take a look at THREE of his better strikes this season. Which one stands out for you, amongst the sheer quality on show?

I - vs Napoli

II - vs Hellas Verona

III - vs AC Milan
