LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling could find himself in a lot of trouble, after he was reportedly recorded making racist remarks to his girlfriend.
TMZ Sports report that the comments were made during an unpleasant conversation with V.Stiviano following a picture she posted to her Instagram page posing with Magic Johnson.
The recordings, which are thought to be Sterling, are another incident in a line of previous incidents involving the Clippers owner.
Following Stiviano's picture with Johnson appearing on Instagram, Sterling reportedly said:
"It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to?..."
"You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that ... and not to bring them to my games.
"...Don't put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games."
Although it cannot be confirmed who exactly made the comments, it makes for uncomfortable reading for fans and players alike and head coach Doc Rivers will be hoping it does not affect his side in their play-off push.
The NBA have since confirmed that the case would be investigated and a decision made in a very quick fashion.
Sterling allegedly refused to rent apartments to Blacks and Latinos which resulted in him being sued by the federal government in 2006 and former Clippers exec also sued Sterling for racial discrimination which was show down by the jury in 2010.
The latest event will be something the Clippers will want to clear up sooner rather than later.
