US business mogul Donald Trump has wade into the Donald Sterling saga in the NBA as he called Sterling's girlfriend 'a very bad girlfriend.'
The LA Clippers owner was secretly taped by his girlfriend and the conversation that was recorded has caused a controversy across the league.
TMZ Sports published the audio over the weekend, and subsequently there has been an outcry across the league, with former NBA greats calling for Sterling to step down or at least be punished by the league.
Trump then gave his side of the argument as he moved the attention from Sterling to his girlfriend, calling her 'a terrible human being.'
The powerful business man acknowledges that what Sterling said was 'despicable', but he does also believe that his girlfriend was 'baiting him' into saying those things.
“I don’t know what you do, it’s so bad. She was baiting him and she’s a terrible human being and he gave horrible answers and disgusting answers," FTW reported.
Although clearly feeling for Sterling, Trump does believe that strong action should and will be taken against the Clippers boss.
"He got set up by a very, very bad girlfriend, let’s face it. She’s called ‘the girlfriend from hell.’ What he said was terrible and despicable and a very strong action is going to be taken.”
