Football News

First we start in the NBA and news from the compelling first round of the playoffs. In the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bulls are on the verge of collapse after their 98-89 defeat to the Washington Wizards last night.

In the Western Conference, Portland Trail Blazers again showed their point scoring abilities with a 123-120 victory over Houston Rockets, which gives the Blazers a 3-1 series lead.

Elsewhere, LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling is in trouble after racists comments he made over the weekend that were reported by TMZ Sports

Across to hockey, and the reigning Stanley Cup champions the Chicago Blackhawks have progressed to the conference semi-finals after their 5-1 victory against the St Louis Blues, with the Blackhawks taking the series 4-2.

In Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees edged out the Los Angeles Angels 3-2 to move to 15-10.

Elsewhere, the Boston Red Sox continued their shocking start to the season as they were hammered 7-1 by the Toronto Blue Jays. The reigning World Series champions are now 12-14 this season.

And finally, a fan is suing the NFL for $50 million over so called selective ticket sales.
