Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani has not integrated with his teammates and is likely to leave this summer, according to journalist Laurent Perrin.
Speaking to Le Parisien, the journalist, who enjoys close ties with PSG, claims that Cavani is not enjoying life in the French capital and has failed to integrate with his teammates since his arrival last year.
Cavani joined from Napoli in a record £55m deal, but has been linked with a swift exit this summer following an indifferent season. After observing him over the season, Perrin believes the reports of unhappiness match Cavani's attitude.
He said: “When I observe him, there are some troubling signs. His very cold handshake with Nasser [Al-Khelaifi] before the Coupe de la Ligue final or the fact that none of his teammates went to congratulate him after his great goal vs Sochaux yesterday.
"He has a different personality. I don't have the impression that he has integrated into the group very well."
One potential destination for Cavani this summer is Manchester United, who, last week, were reported to be in talks with PSG over a mega £56m transfer.
Manchester United are determined to invigorate the squad with a host of world-class stars as they look to put David Moyes' terrible 11-month reign behind them.
Old Trafford will be without Champions League football for the first time in 19 years but that may not stop Cavani joining the club, who was said to be waiting for Moyes to be sacked before considering a move.
But how likely is a move for the Uruguayan, who is just one-year into a long-term contract at Parc des Princes? Likely, according to Parrin but only if Manchester United are willing to repay all the money PSG invested in him last year as well as Cavani personally requesting a transfer.
"Is him leaving a possibility? Yes, it is. If a club is ready to pay his price and Cavani states that he wants to go elsewhere."
