Liverpool will offer Adam Lallana a deal worth £70,000-a-week, amid reports the player wants to sign for the club.

According to The Mirror, the England international - who has had a fine season at Southampton - is ready to move to Anfield this summer.

If reports are to be believed, Lallana has opted for a move to Merseyside ahead of a summer switch to Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea.

Liverpool believe they can sign the Saints forward for around £20 million in the up coming market, and appear ready to double his current wages of £35,000-a-week.

Lallana has been a key man for the Saints this season, and could be set to star in Brazil this summer for the England national side.

The Southampton ace joined Liverpool trio Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard in the PFA Team of the Year last night, and now he could play alongside them next season.

It remains to be seen as to whether Liverpool step up their interest in the England international before the opening of the summer market.

However, with the Reds set for a Champions League campaign next season, it already appears that Brendan Rodgers is looking to improve his ever improving Liverpool squad.
