Zlatan Ibrahimovic might well be Paris Saint-Germain’s star player - and, indeed, one of the world’s best footballers - but, at the age of 32, no club is going to pay over £25m for the Sweden international’s services.
However, there are several clubs who would pay over £50m for Zlatan’s PSG teammate Edinson Cavani, whose value hasn’t fluctuated over the last 12 months.
PSG paid Napoli around £53m for Cavani last summer. He has scored 22 goals in 37 appearances, which is an average return for a player who cost so much money, but his reputation as one of the world’s best finishers has not been tarnished - and many clubs would gladly take him when the transfer window re-opens, even if it means paying over £50m.
