Less than 24 hours after he, and the watching world, were well and truly creeped out by the Wyatt family's entrance to Raw in St. Louis last night John Cena has come out in defiant mood.
The WWE superstar tweeted the following message as his character continues to undergo development in the face of his recent feud with Bray Wyatt:
"I have been hated. I have been loved. I will always be, me."
Many have seen the past few months in John Cena's WWE career as a crucial boost to his image, and despite many fans siding with the Wyatt clan, and some even suggesting Cena could be set for a heel turn, Cena himself has seemingly vowed to continue on regardless of how he is perceived.
Things between Cena and Wyatt escalated Monday night at Raw when his nemesis entered the arena alongside a host of young children, singing "The Whole World in His Hands" in an eery segment reminiscent of the organization's Attitude Era.
And Cena, who has been the biggest baby face in the WWE in recent years, is clearly embracing the new challenge - playing up to it even when he is outside of the ring as his social media activity shows.
