Johnny Manziel has divided everyone's personal preference when it comes to predicting the NFL Draft. But the experts believe that he'll go top three.
For the past four months we've debated and dissected all of the possible QB options in this years draft including Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr. But NFL Analyst Mike Mayock has decided that Manziel will go third in the draft.
That doesn't necessarily mean he's the best. Everyone has had quite a few comments on Johnny Football's lack of athletic skill and ability to adapt. Even Mayock himself had his as the second best QB in after the scouting combine.
But that division of what the combine tells us and what a team wants in a player will decide who will go first at New York's Radio City Music Hall this week.
Manziel may not have the height but he has the presence and the charisma to lead a team, according to Mayock. Something that arguably is as good as raw talent.
It's a sentiment shared by many. Ian Rapoport said via twitter that a NFL general manager had compared Manziel to a point guard due to his ability to set the pace of the game and the team's confidence.
Despite being third, it will be to a team that will get the best out of him. Whilst Jacksonville have the third pick, they are likely to go for exciting athleticism that Bridgewater provides in an effort to revitalise their team.
Houston has been rumoured to get the drop for Manziel but most experts don't believe they'll risk their team's dynamic for brining in a new franchise QB.
There are 5 teams in the first ten who could potentially use a new QB. But I expect to see a last minute trade up for one of the lower picks to get their man, Johnny Football. Keep your eyes on Oakland and Minnesota.
