Arsenal & Chelsea face four-way fight for Serge Aurier

Arsenal and Chelsea will now have to do battle with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier this summer, with talkSPORT reporting that Jurgen Klopp wants to steal the French starlet from under the noses of two leading Premier League lights.

Aurier is already a firm fixture of the transfer rumour mill at the tender age of 21 thanks to a string of assured performances in Ligue 1 this season, where the youngster has managed six goals and seven assists from full-back for Toulouse.

Arsenal in particular are searching for fresh options at full-back thanks to increasing frustration over a deadlock in contract talks with long-serving star Bacary Sagna, while Chelsea will eventually need to find a replacement for 30-year-old Branislav Ivanovic despite another strong season from the Serbian stalwart.

Toulouse have Aurier under contract until 2018 and are in a strong position to command the highest possible transfer fee given the youngster's current form, but Dortmund and Ligue 1 rivals Marseille are now both prepared to consider meeting a lofty £15m valuation.

The 21-year-old will get another chance to send his valuation rocketing with the Ivory Coast at this summer's World Cup finals, unless Arsenal, Chelsea or a continental giant decide to move before the tournament begins and prevent a fierce bidding war stretching on until late in the summer.

Toulouse for their part have so far remained adamant that Aurier's development would be best served by another season in France, but try telling that to one of Europe's most exciting young defenders if a move to the Emirates or Stamford Bridge does materialise.
