Dr Dre absolutely interested in buying LA Clippers

As part of the sanctions levied against Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for his racist rant, the Clippers will be searching for a new owner in the not-too-distant future.

The list of people who have declared their interest in the soon-to-be-vacant role is expanding by the hour, and at the moment Oprah Winfrey, Magic Johnson, Frankie Muniz, Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather are just some of the famous names who have thrown their hat into the ring.

And now you can add Dr Dre into it as well. The Hip Hop mogul was talking to TMZ Sports when he confirmed that he "absolutely" has an interest in purchasing the franchise and will definitely be taking some time out to think about the move and what to do next.

Don't turn your nose up at the former NWA star either. The 49-year old was recently valued at $550 million dollars by Forbes, putting him second behind Sean "Diddy" Combs by a mere $30million.

Imagine if all the Hip Hop crew got together to but the Clippers. With guys like Dre, Diddy, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Kanye West, the LA franchise would become the coolest in the league overnight and their merchandise sales would be like nothing you've ever seen before in youth culture since Dre and his NWA cohorts rocked Los Angeles Raiders gear back in the 80's and early 90's.
