According to the Mirror, Serie A side Roma are contemplating bids for both Romelu Lukaku and Erik Lamela.

Walter Sabatini, Roma sporting director, has reportedly held meetings with both Tottenham and Chelsea over their respective players.

Lamela joined Tottenham last summer for a club-record £30million but has struggled to acclimatise to the unique rigours of the Premier League and life in England. Roma are hopeful of bringing Lamela back to the Stadio Olimpico for a much-reduced fee in light of his disappointing season.

Everton loanee is also on the Italian club's shortlist, but they'll face competition from Tottenham and Everton if they wish to secure his signature. Additionally, Roma are in the market for a midfielder and are said to be monitoring the availability of Sandro and Paulinho.

Tin Jedvaj – Roma's Croatian defender who was mooted for a possible move to White Hart Lane before the Giallorossi snapped him up – could be offered as a makeweight.
