Earvin 'Magic' Johnson is causing quite a stir at the moment after a recent tweet divulging his feelings towards the resignation of former Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni

Mitch Kupchak the General Manager of the Lakers recently announced that Mike D'Antoni had stepped down from his position with the franchise and Magic took to twitter instantly to let everyone know his reaction to it.

Johnson tweeted saying: "Happy days are here again! Mike D'Antoni resigns as the Lakers coach. I couldn't be happier!"

No one is quite sure whether Johnson and D'Antoni had any beef that wasn't public knowledge but it seems a rather unusual move with such brute honesty from the LA Dodgers owner.

D'Antoni was the Lakers head coach for two seasons and with drama centered around Dwight Howard and injuries to Kobe Bryant, it's hardly been an easy transition for D'Antoni to turn the Lakers into a championship contendor once more.

Johnson has been in the center of the Donald Sterling controversy due to the Clippers owner signalling Magic out in particular when he went on a racist-fuelled rant.

With all the media attention at Johnson's doorstep it was an unusual move for the former NBA legend to broadcast his happiness of D'Antoni's resignation.
