Question are being asked of Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola after this week's 4-0 defeat to Real Madrid.
While Heynckes was still in charge at Bayern, the club were competitive in every competition. Borussia Dortmund could not match them in Bundesliga nor in the Champions League.
Guardiola's arrival to Munich was accompanied by fans who had hoped for another great season. As always, Bundesliga was successful for the club and for the manager, ensuring another the title two months before the league end.
The tactics that Guardiola has applied to the team haven't been completely efficient, as they had lost twice in April - against Aubsburg and Klopp's Dortmund. Now, Bayern have also run out of the biggest European competition.
The first-leg match ended up in Madrid's triumph, thanks to Karim Benzema who shook the net from their first attempt to jeopardise Neuer's goal. It seemed like Bayern will attack from the first minute in the second match, but it hasn't happened.
Real's superiority has paid off right from the start and it was already obvious that the home team have no chance against the Spaniards. It was 0-3 until the half-time whistle and the players in white have already started to celebrate. By the end of the match, Ronaldo scored again to make it four for the guests.
Losing 0-5 on aggregate should make Munich's manager reconsider his tactic reliability, because they will not continue with winning if he doesn't change the game approach.
