Aaron Hernandez descent from NFL stardom continues to plummet as further trouble is being reported as the ex-tight end who is currently in federal prison has been indicted for assault on a fellow inmate.
Via multiple reports, the former Patriot has received charges for assault, battery and threats to do bodily harm. The indictment is a result of a fight with an inmate that occurred back in February in Bristol County Jail.
At the time of the incident, Hernandez received 30 days of solitary confinement but since being later indicted for the fight, a more severe punishment may come the ex-NFL player's way.
A grand jury has presided over the case and have determined that based on a one-sided presentation of evidence that enough proof of guilt exists to support a conviction.
Problems for Hernandez continue to mount, he is currently behind bars awaiting a trail for murder charges connected with the death of Odin Lloyd in June and now has an extra case to deal with.
It is certain that Hernandez will never re-enter the NFL and there will forever be questions of the potential of the former tight end.
