Barcelona will pay tribute to their deceased coach Tito Vilanova before their match against Getafe on Saturday, according to their official website.
The Barcelona players will wear jerseys with the words "Tito, per sempre etern" ("Tito, forever eternal") printed on the chest area. Furthermore, a video showing highlights of Vilanova's life will be played on the scoreboards and a "huge banner will be unfurled," a statement on the club website reads.
A minute's silence will then be held to pay tribute to the coach who lost his battle against cancer on April 25th. Fans also have the option of sending their condolences to a special e-mail address, TitoEtern@fcbarcelona.cat, with over 12,000 having done so already.
Many fans have also paid tribute at a memorial space at the Camp Nou stadium, with the club reporting that 52,999 people visited the site over the last weekend. An emotional minute of silence was already held before kick-off at Barcelona's away win over Villarreal last Sunday.
A memorial service was held at Barcelona Cathedral last Monday, which was attended by Vilanova's family, the Barcelona first team squad, the board of directors, former presidents and players, as well as Catalan politicians and league officials.
