Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho looks set to radically transform his squad this summer, with reports suggesting that he will bid for both Diego Costa and Mario Mandzukic.

This is according to The Daily Express, who further claim that up to 15 current players are facing rather uncertain futures with the Blues, with Mourinho hoping to raise the necessary funds to complete deals for those aforementioned strikers through several sales.

Indeed, the same source also suggests that Chelsea's entire strikeforce could depart Stamford Bridge as a result, with the likes of Ramires, David Luiz, Victor Moses, Oriel Romeu, Gael Kakuta, Marko Marin and John Obi Mikel - among others - also potentially on their way out as well as experienced England international Ashley Cole who is out of contract at the end of the season.

If such reports are accurate, it looks as if Chelsea are set for one of the busiest summers in the club's history.

There is certainly no doubt that Mourinho is in desperate need of fresh impetus in the final third, with the trio of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto'o having flattered to deceive on several occasions this season.

And while it is doubtful that too many Chelsea fans would be particularly disappointed to see any of those names depart the club, there would presumably be a feeling of slight confusion and exasperation if Belgian starlet Romelu Lukaku - who has thrived on loan at Everton this season after a similarly successful spell with West Brom last year - was never given a reasonable chance to prove himself worthy of a starting berth with his parent club.

With Costa rated at £32 million and Mandukic at approximately £20 million, the duo - who have scored 45 goals between them in their respective domestic leagues so far this season - would certainly represent a significant investment for Chelsea.

Indeed, the move for Costa may already have been tied up just a short while after he helped Atletico Madrid to reach the Champions League final if fervent speculation that began circulating earlier on Friday morning is to be believed.

But while he and Mandzukic would certainly bolster Mourinho's attacking ranks for another potential title bid, would the duo really be worth it at the apparent expense of so many players?

Chelsea fans - would you be happy to see so many players leave if it meant that you could negotiate successful deals for both Costa and Mandzukic? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box provided below.
