We start with boxing and Amir Khan, who says he's been stunned by the hype in the United States over a potential fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Khan ends a 12-month absence this weekend when he moves up to welterweight to take on Luis Collazo on the undercard of Mayweather's latest fight.

Cricket now, and fast bowler James Anderson has welcomed the appointment of Peter Moores as England head coach.

Anderson was included in Moores' first squad for the one-day international against Scotland on Friday May 9 in Aberdeen.

In Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton admits he is itching to return to action in Barcelona next week as he goes in search of his first win in Spain and the 2014 championship lead.

The Mercedes driver will arrive at the Circuit de Catalunya for the opening round of the European season in the best form of his career having won the last three grands prix.

And finally in Rugby League, Lee Jewitt looks set to return to the English game after agreeing a deal with Castleford.

The prop's move back across the Channel is subject to clearance from the French federation.
