Washington Wizards center, Marcin Gortat has struck fear into opponents so far this playoffs with his 6'11" frame and intense stare.
But the Polish big man has revealed a fact that has made him even more intimidating. Gortat said that he channels the hit move '300' on game days.
“Always,” Gortat told the Washington Post.”When we’re running out, I’ll say from 300 ‘This is Sparta!’ or ‘Prepare for glory!’ [or] ‘Give them nothing but take everything!’”
Gortat spurred the Wizards onto victory in the last round of the playoffs against the Chicago Bulls with the 'Polish Hammer' averaging over 10 points per game as he impressed against defensive player of the year, Joakim Noah.
The Wizards have emerged as a potential candidate for the Eastern Conference and will await the winner of the Indiana Pacers and Atlanta Hawks who will face off in a game seven this weekend.
Washington Wizards fans will be hoping that Gortat can bring his Sparta attitude to the rest of the playoffs and spur the Wizards star backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal on to playoff glory.
