The most talked about man in all of sport right now is without doubt Donald Sterling who on Tuesday, was given a lifetime ban from the NBA and fined $2.5 million by NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

The tale of Sterling is one even non-basketball fans know and on Friday night it took its newest turn.

Sterling has spoken out for the first time since his punishment was issued and he has expressed his regret..... just not about his racist remarks.

Speaking with dujour.com, Sterling expressed his regret in not 'paying off' his ex-girlfriend V. Stiviano- the lady who leaked the audio tape of Stirling to TMZ.

This newest quote surely won't help Sterling's reputation any and will in fact inspire more contempt for him from the basketball world.

Many players and big names across the NBA have spoken out since the tape was leaked including the Clippers players who have staged a protest by wearing their warm-up jerseys inside out, an act they were supported in by the Miami Heat on Monday night.

Many big names are being linked with the purchase of the NBA franchise and it will surely be best for Sterling, the Clippers and the NBA as a whole for him to leave sooner rather than later.
